Create Using Method 2: Use Template

  • Select Use Template. 
  • If no templates exist, create a new template by: 
    • Adding topics (topics must exist for the subject before creating an exam). 
    • Setting up sections and questions. 
    • Select a template and proceed to Exam Details. 
    • Click Create to finalize. 

📌 Note: AI-generated questions are not included when creating an exam from a template.

Teachers can save time by creating reusable exam templates. These templates can include topics, sections, and preloaded questions for future exams.

  1. Navigate to https://assessr.com/home/teacher/exams

  2. or Click "Manage Exam" and make sure you have created a class before creating an exam
  3. Click on the plus icon. this will allow you to start the process of creating your exam
  4. You'll have three Methods of creating an exams to choose from. Blank Exam, Use Template and AI Generation.
  5. Choose "Use Template". This allows you to create a template that can be reused to create future exams.
  6. Click "Continue"
  7. You can choose to use an existing template or create a new one. Let's click "Create New Template" to show you how to make your own.
  8. If no topics are found under the selected subject of the template you are trying to create, you'll see an option to add them. However, if topics already exist, you wont see this.
  9. You will land on the template creator page, where you can structure the template any way you like. You can start by adding placeholders for questions, these dont have to be actual questions, just empty slots to help you build the structure can work. click "add question"
  10. Select topic for your placeholder.
  11. Click "Next"
  12. Select and add the question types you need.
  13. Click "close"
  14. When you are done proceed to clicking "Create"
  15. Select the template you have created Click "Continue"
  16. Enter your exam details.
  17. You can update the template with your relevant questions then click "save" when you are happy with your changes
  18. Click "Publish"
  19. Students will immediately see your scheduled exam. You have an option to share the exam link or have students scan the QR code which will take them to the exam.
